Dr Rameez met with Tan Sri Dr Michael Yeoh on Wednesday (5/9/2012 at 4.40 pm) at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne. The said meeting organised by Asian Strategy and Leadership Institute (ASLI) was to follow up and to inform the Consul General on the preparation made so far by ASLI for the 4th World Chinese Economic Forum.
The World Chinese Economic Forum is a business event bringing together government, business and thought leaders on an annual basis to discuss the rise of China and China’s economic linkages with her neighbours including Malaysia. The last World Chinese Economic Forum was held in Kuala Lumpur last year. This year, it will be held at the Melbourne Convention Centre from 12-13 November 2012, and 500 participants from over 25 nations are expected to turn up for this world premier event.
