The Consulate General of Japan hosted the Memorial Ceremony of the Great East Japan Earthquake on Friday, 9th March 2012 at the Melbourne International Fine Art Centre, CBD. The One hour event saw the attendance of His Excellency Alex Chernov (Governor of State of Victoria), Premier Ted Baillieu, Hon Bruce Atkinson (Leader and Speaker of the Legislative Council), Opposition State Leader, Federal MPs and members of the Consular Corps. There were also photo and children art exhibition on what had happened during the Earthquake and post event.
