The Consulate General of Malaysia, Melbourne will be hosting the 56th Merdeka Day Celebration on Friday, 6th September 2013 at the Seasons Botanic Garden Hotel, 348, St Kilda Road. The programme of the day is as follows:-

6.20pm - Speech by the Representative for the Premier of Victoria
6.30pm - Exchange of Toasts
6.35pm - Cutting Cake Ceremony
6.40pm - Dinner, followed by a Malaysian Fashion Show.

{C}{C}· {C}The Malaysian Fashion Show during the National Day Celebration in Melbourne will be jointly hosted by the Consulate General of Malaysia and Sheikhahub.com. Sheikhahub.com, an online portal created to assist Moslem women entrepreneurs in Malaysia and in the Islamic world in undertaking the effort to promote Islamic fashion worldwide. While providing a virtual networking, Sheikhahub is also promoting its designers and products via presentations at world fashion events. The lead designers and entrepreneurs under Sheikhahub portal are world renowned Fatma Ghanem from Qatar and Zeina Abou Chaaban from UAE, also include many more from Malaysia such as Mimpikita, Azura, Azwa, Saraya Zahret and AMMAR.
Sheikhahub will be taking part at the Melbourne Spring Fashion Week World Runway on 7th September 2013 and Sheikhahub will be the first Muslimah (Moslem Women) fashion entrant to take part in this prestigious annual event held in the most liveable city in the world. They will be here in Melbourne from the 4th September 2013 to prepare for the main event, which will take place on 7th September 2013 at 7 pm at ACMI, Federation Square, Melbourne CBD. TV9 Crews will also be here in Melbourne to cover the said event.
