QUARANTINE: PRE-ARRIVAL PROCESS TO ENTER MALAYSIA [For Malaysian Citizen and Non-Citizen]

A. Letter of Undertaking and Indemnity (LoU) for all eligible individuals entering Malaysia must:

I.        Complete and sign the Letter of Undertaking and Indemnity (LoU).
- Travellers to Malaysia must complete and sign the LoU  which can be downloaded from the following links:

b.    For Non-Malaysian or Self-Paying Malaysian (PR / LTSVP Spouse or Children / Diplomat / Approved MM2H)

II.        Obtain the Letter of Permission to Perform Journey to Malaysia from the Consulate General of Malaysia, Melbourne.

- Each applicant must submit the completed and signed LoU along with a copy of their passport via email to the Consulate General of Malaysia, Melbourne, at least three (3) days before the date of departure.

- Subject to approval, the Consulate will issue the Letter of Permission to Perform Journey to Malaysia via email to the applicant. The letter will have a validity of one (1) month.

- Note: To ENSURE  the process will be done expeditiously, all LoU forms to be only sent to: cgmy.melbournelou@gmail.com

III.        Present the Letter of Permission to Perform Journey to Malaysia and LoU at Check-In Point
- The Letter of Permission to Perform Journey to Malaysia from the Consulate, along with the LoU, must be presented during the flight check-in process. Failure to present these documentations will result in individual being denied permission to board the aircraft.
- On arrival in Malaysia, the LoU will be witnessed upon presentation to NADMA officer.

 
B. MM2H Holders
- Additional steps that must be completed are:
I.        Complete the MoTAC Google Form Application: bit.ly/MM2HMoTACApp.
II.        No approval required to re-enter Malaysia from the Director-General of Immigration Malaysia.
III.        Undergo the medical screening swab test of maximum 14 days before your arrival.
IV.        Please refer to the MM2H guidelines: bit.ly/MM2HGuidelines and apply for the necessary approvals.

C. Additional Requirements for Malaysians with Australian PR
- For Malaysians who are Australian PR holders, please apply for the ABF approval here: immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-support/departmental-forms/online-forms/covid19-enquiry-form at least 48 hours prior to departure.
