Five student organisations representing some ASEAN nations have organised themselves together to set up the 1st ASEAN Students’ Council of Victoria here in Melbourne. They have put their differences aside and prioritised the uniting factor to organise the 1st ASEAN-Australia Youth Summit which was held at Melbourne Town Hall, CBD last Saturday (28/7/2012) from 8.30 am till 5.00 pm. Among the VVIPS attended the function were H.E Ms. Gillian Bird (First Australian Ambassador to ASEAN), Amb. H.E. Primo Joelianto (Indonesia), Acting High-Comm Rohayaty Yassin (Brunei), Minister Councillor Mr. Quang Trung Nguyen (Vietnam), Consul General Dr Rameez (Malaysia), and Consul General Emir Wisnandar (Indonesia). More than 100 people attended the event.
