Consul General and Consul joined the Consular Corps of Western Australia (CCWA) in a reception hosted in honour of the Honourable Mark McGowan MLA, Premier of Western Australia (WA) on 22 October 2020.
This is an annual event hosted by the WA Consular Corps to provide an opportunity for its members to have an exclusive engagement with the Honourable Premier after it was long overdue since COVID-19 first strike the State in March 2020.
Premier McGowan in his speech expressed his gratitude to the WA Consular Corps comprising career Consuls General, Consuls and Honorary Consuls representing 60 countries for being supportive and a vibrant community in Western Australia.
The Premier also congratulated CCWA members for the cooperation extended to the State Government for playing their part in curbing the spread of the pandemic and for rendering the assistance to stranded foreign nationals within the WA border, a shared responsibility that both sides have to carry during these challenging times.
