Entry into Austria from other countries and areas (including Malaysia) as of 13 October 2021

Entry from Malaysia to Austria is permitted with a 3G certificate (vaccinated, tested or recovered). In addition, you have to  register  and go into quarantine for ten days, from which you can check out on the fifth day after entering the country at the earliest.

The registration and quarantine requirements do not apply, among other things

  • for business travelers;
  • for commuters to attend school and study or for family purposes or to visit their partner;
  • for people who have a proof of vaccination or a proof of recovery with them;
  • for minors between the ages of 12 and 18 who enter under the supervision of fully immunized persons; or
  • for people who enter for unforeseeable, urgent, family reasons that are particularly worthy of consideration.
