On 30 April 2026, Mr. Mohd Ridzwan Bin Shahabudin, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., and a delegation from the Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM) visited the Institute of Healthcare Engineering (HCE) at the Graz University of Technology.
The delegation engaged in a discussion with Professor Christian Baumgartner, Head of the HCE and his team on cutting-edge biomedical research, including AI-based diagnostics, soft robotics, and medical device safety. Key discussions focused on exploring technical cooperation to verify and extend the lifecycle of medical equipment through international testing standards.
This visit marks a significant step toward strengthening Malaysia–Austria ties in healthcare engineering and innovation, paving the way for future institutional partnerships and expert knowledge exchange.
