H.E. Ambassador Dato’ Muhammad Shahrul Ikram Yaakob hosted a “Hari Raya Aidil Fitri Open House” at the “Rumah Malaysia” on Saturday, 8 September 2012.
About 100 guests attended the event. The guests were Malaysians working and residing in Vienna, "Friends of Malaysia", the Embassy's HBS and LRS staff and visiting Malaysian delegations. The event started with short opening remarks by Dato' Muhammad Shahrul Ikram to welcome all the guests.
All the guests were served with the famous Hari Raya cuisine such as nasi minyak, chicken rendang, ayam masak merah, dalca, udang masala, sambal udang petai, pulut, serunding, nasi himpit, peanut sauce, rojak buah, and fried noodles. Guests were also enjoyed an assortment of Hari Raya delicacies such as kek lapis, kek kukus, popiah goreng, buah melaka, cucur badak and agar-agar.
