In an effort to develop closer and friendly relations with the business community, public and private sector as well as NGOs in Austria, the Embassy and Permanent Mission of Malaysia is actively involved and is fully supportive of the Austria-Malaysia Friendship Society.A sign of this good relation is marked by the presentation of EUR500 from the Embassy and Permanent Mission of Malaysia recently. T.Y.T. Dato’ Mohd. Arshad M. Hussain, Ambassador of Malaysia and Permanent Representative of Malaysia to the United Nations, Vienna presented the donation in a ceremony held at the Embassy on 12 June 2009. Madam Jay Norden, President of the Austria-Malaysia Friendship Society accepted the donation on behalf of the Society. The donation is to assist the Society in organising an annual dinner which would include Embassy officials and members of the Society. The dinner is scheduled for 22 June 2009. |
