The award, which was presented by Madam Herta Öfferl, the President of the association for the Furtherance of Peace is to motivate individuals and organizations to promote peace activities in every possible way. The Furtherance for Peace is a non profit organization based in Vienna and has no political nor religious alliances. | |
Dato’ Mohd. Arshad’s receipt of the award has placed him among other distinguished individuals to have been the “Flame of Peace” namely Ambassadors and academicians from Austria and abroad, as well and government officials including the Secretary General of the Ministry for European and International Affairs of Austria. |  |
