Mr. Jayendu De, Resident Representative of International Monetary Fund (IMF) called on H.E. Haznah Md Hashim, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Bangladesh on 28 June 2022.
The High Commission wishes to highlight that the IMF's Executive Board in its assessment report released in April 2022 concluded that the IMF is optimistic that Malaysia's economy will expand by 5.75 per cent in 2022, driven by pent-up domestic demand and continued strong external demand.
As such, this is in line with the Malaysian Government's growth projection of between 5.3 per cent and 6.3 per cent for 2022.
