H.E. High Commissioner paid a courtesy call on H.E. General Waker-Uz-Zaman, SBP, OSP, SGP, psc, Chief of Army Staff of Bangladesh Army at the Army Headquarters.

Malaysia and Bangladesh have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on defence cooperation during the official visit of The Honourable Chief Advisor, Professor Muhammad Yunus to Malaysia last month.

Malaysia will be co-hosting the 14th Indo-Pacific Armies Chiefs Conference (IPACC) with the United States in Kuala Lumpur from 23-25 September 2025. The event will also include the 49th Indo-Pacific Army Management Seminar (IPAMS) and the 11th Senior Enlisted Forum (SELF). The gathering represents the largest annual congregation of land force leaders in the Indo-Pacific region, aimed at fostering peace and stability throughout the region by strengthening relationships, promoting dialogue, and building mutual understanding among participating armies.
