DHAKA- Malaysian Government contributed USD 202,440 to the Islamic University of Technology (IUT), a subsidiary organ of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC).
The assistance was provided as full settlement of the mandatory contribution of Malaysian Government, a Member States of the OIC to the budget of IUT till 2012.
H.E. Madam Norlin binti Othman, High Commissioner of Malaysia for the People’s Republic of Bangladesh handed over the cheque to Professor Dr. M. Imtiaz Hossain, Vice Chancellor of IUT at the High Commission of Malaysia in Dhaka on 22 November 2012.
Before the cheque presentation, the Vice Chancellor briefed High Commissioner on the current development and challenges of the university and exchanged views on other possible areas of collaboration and assistance by Malaysia.
The Vice Chancellor also took the opportunity to express gratitude to the Malaysian Government for its continuous assistance and contribution to the overall development of the university.
