NOTICE - LATEST GUIDELINES AND PROTOCOL FOR TRAVELLERS ARRIVING AT MALAYSIA INTERNATIONAL BORDERS
Effective 1 May 2022, the new protocol for travellers arriving at Malaysia international borders/entrance as follows:
• In possession of a valid Malaysian Visa;
• Download and activate MySejahtera application on
https://mysejahtera.malaysia.gov.my (from Apple App Store, Google Play Store or Huawei AppGallery); and
• Verify your digital COVID-19 vaccine certificate on
https://www.mvsafetravel.aov.mv (for digital COVID-19 certificates issued overseas).
Fully vaccinated travellers and children aged 12 and below are exempted from pre-departure and on-arrival tests.
NOTE: Please refer to the latest definition of “fully vaccinated” as detailed out on
Travellers with incomplete vaccination status or have not received vaccination MUST:
• Take a pre-departure COVID-19 Test (RT-PCR or RTK-Ag Professional) within 48 hours prior to departure;
• Undergo professional rapid antigen test (RTK-Ag) within 24 hours of arrival with the supervision of a private medical practitioner either physically or virtually;
• Undergo five (5) days of quarantine at home or self-arranged accommodation; and
• Undergo RT-PCR test on the fourth day or professional RTK-Ag test on the fifth day of quarantine.
COVID-19 insurance is no longer required for all travellers entering Malaysia.
