NOTICE

GUIDELINES AND PROTOCOL FOR TRAVELLERS ARRIVING AT
MALAYSIA INTERNATIONAL BORDERS

Effective 1 April 2022, the new protocol for travellers arriving at Malaysia international borders/entrance as follows:

Pre-Departure

• In possession of a valid Malaysian Visa;
• Download and activate MySejahtera application on https://mysejahtera.malaysia.gov.my (from Apple App Store, Google Play Store or Huawei AppGallery);
• Complete the Pre-Departure form in MySejahtera through the Traveller icon;
• Verify your digital COVID-19 vaccine certificate on https://www.mysafetravel.gov.my (for digital COVID-19 certificates issued overseas);

• RT-PCR test within 48 hours prior to departure; and
• Purchase of a COVID-19 & travel insurance (minimum coverage of US$20,000 applicable for short term foreign visitors).

On Arrival

• RTK-Ag Professional test at private facilities upon arrival at the airport.

Requirements for Entry

• International travelers are no longer required to apply for entry approval (MyTravelPass/MyEntry);
• Fully-vaccinated travellers are no longer required for quarantine; and
• Travellers who are not fully vaccinated/partially vaccinated must undergo five days mandatory quarantine at their own accommodation upon arrival. NOTE: Please refer to the latest definition of “fully vaccinated” as detailed out on https://www.mysafetravel.gov.my.

All visa application must be made either manually or via online platform (eVISA) (https://malaysiavisa.imi.gov.my) (eVISA is only for certain categories of visa) through Authorised Visa Application Agency. In this regard, the High Commission of Malaysia is pleased to announce that a visa application through online platform (eVISA) is now made available for foreign nationals from certain countries, including Bangladesh, for the following visa categories:

1. Social Visit Pass;
2. Student Pass;
3. Expatriate (Employment Pass, Professional Visit Pass (Talent), Resident Pass (Talent), Dependent Pass); and
4. Medical Treatment Purpose.

As such, all visa application for the above-mentioned categories is required to be submitted through Authorised Visa Application Agency, subject to the terms and conditions issued by the Government of Malaysia, including the following:

• All visa application will be considered on the merits, and the High Commission of Malaysia has the right to seek additional information at any stage of processing;
• The High Commission of Malaysia reserves the right to refuse a visa application without providing any reason;
• The fact that an application for a visa is received through the High Commission of Malaysia will not guarantee that the visa will be issued;
• Submission of a visa application through a third-party website or an unauthorised agent is at the applicant’s risk;
