On 2 August 2025, H.E. High Commissioner attended and delivered remarks at the Seminar on “Halal Economy 360: Driving Global Growth”, organised by the Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI).
Powered by Biopharma Limited and Air Asia, the event was graced by Guest of Honour, H.E. Mr. Chowdury Ashik Mahmud Harun, Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) and Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority (BEZA) and attended by representatives from over 50 businesses in the food and beverages and pharmaceutical industries.
In his address, the High Commissioner highlighted Malaysia’s leadership in the global halal industry and called for deeper collaboration with Bangladesh to unlock mutual opportunities in halal trade, certification, and investments. This event marked a meaningful step toward fostering sustainable halal trade, harmonising certification standards, and strengthening people-to-people connectivity between Malaysia and Bangladesh.
