DHAKA- H.E. Dato’ Seri Utama S. Samy Vellu, Special Envoy of Malaysia to India and South Asia on Infrastructure was in Bangladesh for a two-day working visit from 27-29 July 2013. He was accompanied by YBhg. Dato’ Wilson Peh from Gemilang Land Sdn. Bhd. and Ir. Balachandran Naicker from ALM Builders Sdn. Bhd. to witness the Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for the implementation of the Type A, Sector 18 of the Uttara Apartment Project in Bangladesh by the Malaysian companies. The signing which was held in Dhaka on 28 July 2013 was also witnessed by the Honourable State Minister of Housing and Public Works, Bangladesh, Secretary of the Ministry and Bangladesh Senior Government Officials. The event was later concluded with the breaking of Ramadhan’s fast at the hotel.
Apart from the signing of the MoA, H.E. Dato’ Seri Utama S. Samy Vellu had a courtesy call on the Honourable Minister of Railways, Bangladesh in the morning of 28 July to officially handover the final draft Memorandum of Understanding for the supply of 400 passenger coaches to the Government of Bangladesh on Government-to-Government initiative.
