Dr. Essam: Foreign Interference in Bahraini matters is not acceptable.
The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) has praised the directives issued by HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa as he chaired, in the presence of HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the regular weekly Cabinet meeting on Monday (25 June). BCCI Chairman Dr. Essam Abdualla Fakhro said that HM the King sent a clear message that all kinds of foreign interference are not accepted and Bahraini affairs are purely internal matters which concern no one else but Bahrainis, adding that the Royal firm stance reflects the genuine values of the Bahraini people and reasserts that dialogue is the best policy.

Patients Know Best (PKB), which is a newly founded health care company, received an appreciation Award for its outstanding performance and accomplishments in Health Education in General and ambitious successful efforts in spreading Health Information. The company received the cash Award from British UnLtd, the Foundation for Social Entrepreneurs. The company, founded by Bahraini chief executive officer Dr Mohammad Al Ubaydli, is part of UnLtd's Big Venture Challenge Award scheme. Minister of Industry and Commerce, Dr. Hassan Fakhro lauded the PKB accomplishments.
Labor Minister reviews means of co-operation with the Filipino’s President Envoy.
Minister of Labor Jameel Mohammed Ali Humaidan met with the Philippines President's Special Envoy to the GCC Dr. Amabel R. Aguiluz and his accompanying delegation and reviewed with them ways and means of boosting bilateral relations in the area of human development and particularly labor cooperation and positive outcomes achieved for the best interest of both friendly countries and peoples. On this occasion, Mr. Humaidan praised the contributions of the Republic of the Philippines’ expat community in the Kingdom's development process citing the productivity, discipline and cooperation Filipino workforce have here.
BCCI hosts Forum on Micro Financing.
Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) hosted yesterday, in cooperation with the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), the second training program for the micro financing sector. A large number of delegations from industry and commerce chambers in GCC, Arab and Islamic countries, including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Jordan, Yemen, Sudan, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Tajikistan, and others, took part in the forum. During the opening session, Dr. Fakhro delivered a statement in which he welcomed the participants and noted that the event aims to develop the projects requiring micro financing and loans for the sake of diversifying family income and encouraging household savings.

New power stations ensure uninterrupted electricity.
Minister of Energy and the Electricity and Water Authority, Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza, said that new high voltage power stations as part of efforts to ensure the uninterrupted power supply during summer. Dr Mirza, who received MP Adnan Al Malki the parliament representative of the third constituency at the Central Governorate, and the MP Isa Ali Al Qadhi the parliament representative of the fourth constituency at the Central Governorate, also lauded the leadership’s directives to serve citizens by all government entities. He said that the Ministry does its best to ensure the work for the service and well-being of the citizen and that is based on the directives of the wise leadership.
Al-Bir Charity honours 50 outstanding students.
Al-Bir Charity Project board of trustees’ chairman Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al-Khalifa has yesterday patronized a ceremony in honour of 50 outstanding students. He congratulated the graduates, urging them to excel in their academic education and arm themselves with knowledge to ensure a bright future. Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali also hailed HRH the Premier’s drive to develop the educational system towards enhancing the graduates’ standard and his encouragement for creativity and skillfulness.
Illegal racing imperils Bahrain glanders plan.
A ban on the movement of horses placed in Bahrain in a bid to halt the spread of the equine disease glanders and was due to be lifted at the end of the month is now put in jeopardy by underground races, said a top official. Reporters from a local Newspaper corp. said that they witnessed one such race in Saar village on Saturday, which attracted hundreds of spectators. It started at around 6pm and featured donkey and horse racing. The mood was jovial with children playing with the animals and a starter hooked up to a megaphone introducing the racers and horses, while people stocked up on water and sweets from an ice-cream van.
