
On Wednesday 25 September 2019, Ambassador Agus Salim bin Yusof, Ambassador of Malaysia in the Kingdom of Bahrain officiated the Malaysia Festival at Lulu Hypermarket, Ramli Mall. The festival took place for three (3) days from 6.00pm to 9.00pm. The collaboration with Lulu Hypermarket is part of the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The event saw promotions on Malaysian products such as tropical fruits, vegetables, popular processed food brands of chocolates, biscuits and house hold items. Several booths were also opened at Lulu Hypermarket in Ramli Mall namely, the Embassy of Malaysia, Education Malaysia, KLN Ladies Association (Bahrain Chapter) and DXN Bahrain. On the first day, two (2) dance numbers were performed by Malaysians residing in Bahrain, to the tune of “Pantun Budi” and “Keranamu Malaysia” to complete the opening ceremony. On the last day of the festival, 27 September 2019, a cooking demonstration was performed by the wife of the Ambassador, Mrs. Norsyazwani bin Hamdan and Mrs. Syazna, a Malaysian resident. Mrs Norsyazwani demonstrated Nasi Lemak and Custard Pudding, while Mrs Syazna demonstrated Asam Pedas dishes.
