On 24 April 2018, PERWAKILAN Manama participated in the International Embassies Bazaar organised by the Children & Mother’s Welfare Society held at its headquarters in Isa Town. The one-day event was held under the patronage of the wife of the Prime Minister, Her Highness Shaikha Hessa bint Ali Al Khalifa. Among the items on sale are local Malaysian themed items including batik frame, batik handbags, necklaces, broaches and many more. Malaysia was also provided another table at the next hall to sell local Malaysian dishes which includes curry puff, satay, nasi tomato and etcetera.
Later on Thursday, 26 April 2018, an appreciation night was held for all participants of the bazaar with the theme Bahrain Traditional Culture. Prior to dinner, guests were brought on a journey of Bahrain culture through performances from Bahraini mothers and children, with music that completed the ambience.
Proceed from sales of the bazaar from each participating Embassy is contributed to the society’s welfare homes.
