8TH GLOBAL ISLAMIC FINANCE AWARDS (GIFA) 2018

The 8th Global Islamic Finance Awards (GIFA) 2018 was held in Bosnia and Herzegovina on 29 September 2018 hosted in conjunction with the 1st. Sarajevo Halal Fair that was held from 27th to 29th September. More than 150 leading players in the global Islamic financial services industry from 20 countries participated and received the awards on that date. Dignitaries invited to honour the ceremony was H.E. Mr. Bakir Izetbegovic, President of Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Mr. Ismail Omar Guelleh, President of the Republic of Djibouti. H.E. Ambassador Zakri Jaafar was invited by GIFA to be the Guest of Honour and presented awards to 15 award recipients. Several Malaysian personalities and companies received the GIFA awards under various categories including the Malaysia Rating Corporation Berhad, Accounting Research Department, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and Dewina Food Industries Sdn. Bhd.
