A three-member delegation from the Zakat Collection Centre of the Federal Territory Religious Council of Malaysia called on Sheikh Hussein Kavazovic, Grand Mufti of Bosnia and Herzegovina on 4 December 2012. The delegation led by Dato’ Haji Mustafa Abdul Rahman, Chairman of the Zakat Collection Centre, called on the Grand Mufti at the latter’s office in Sarajevo. Also present was Mr. Mohd Hussain Bakar, Chargé d’ Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Malaysia.
The delegation was on a working visit to Sarajevo at the invitation of the Zakat Office of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The objective of the visit was to brief relevant stakeholders here about the system of zakat collection and distribution in Malaysia.
