Ambassador Zakri Jaafar received a courtesy call by Mr. Ashraf Ezzeldine Sobhi, Commercial Manager of Qatar Airways, Bosnia and Herzegovina on 16 March.
Qatar Airways started operating its direct Doha-Sarajevo beginning October 2017. This route present new Sarajevo connection for passengers to and from Malaysia via Doha five times a week. During the meeting, Ambassador Zakri was informed that in addition to its route to Kuala Lumpur, Qatar Airways is also planning to fly to Penang and Langkawi. In this regard, Qatar Airways would be engaging travel agencies in BiH for promotional activities of Malaysia as a tourist destination for Bosnian tourists. Ambassador Zakri thanked Qatar Airways for the news and intention of Qatar Airways to undertake promotional activities to Penang and Langkawi, and expressed hope that the Embassy and Qatar Airways will continue to foster cooperative relation in the coming future.
