H.E. Anuar Kasman, Ambassador of Malaysia to Bosnia and Herzegovina paid a courtesy call on Sheikh Hussein Kavazovic, Grand Mufti of Bosnia and Herzegovina on 21 February 2013. The call was held at the Grand Mufti's office in Sarajevo.
During the call, H.E. Anuar took the opportunity to congratulate Sheikh Husein on his recent appointment as Grand Mufti.
Both sides discussed areas of cooperation aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of higher education and training.
Sheikh Husein also expressed his appreciation for Malaysia’s support and assistance to the Islamic community in Bosnia and Herzegovina. These included the reconstruction of mosques and other amenities.
During the call, the Ambassador was accompanied by Mr. Mohd Hussain Bakar, Counsellor and the Embassy’s translator. Also present were Mr. Razim Colic and Mr. Ibrahim Ahmetagic, the Grand Mufti’s senior aides.
