H.E Datuk Anuar Kasman, Ambassador of Malaysia launched the establishment of MTCP Alumni Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) on 2 June 2015 at the Official Residence in Sarajevo. About 80 people attended the launching ceremony comprising alumni members of MTCP and a Malaysian Development Cooperation Programme (MDCP), home based staff and their family members. In his welcoming remarks, the Ambassador applauded the establishment of the association and hoped that the Association would provide the impetus for closer interactions between the Embassy and government officials in BiH. The Ambassador further hoped the newly established Association would help alumni of MTCP to exchange information, share development experiences as well as acquire new knowledge.
Prior to the launching, Mr Loh Seck Tiong, Counsellor of the Embassy gave a brief introduction of the MTCP. The establishment of the MTCP Alumni Association is one of the initiatives taken to establish a lasting relationship with MTCP alumni that would further enhance Malaysia-BiH relations.
