MALAYSIAN AMBASSADOR ATTENDS SOCCER MATCH BETWEEN MALAYSIA UNDER-11 SELECTION AND LOCAL SARAJEVO TEAM

H.E. Anuar Kasman, Ambassador of Malaysia to Bosnia and Herzegovina attended a friendly soccer match between a Malaysia Under-11 Selection and a team from the Novi Grad Municipality of Sarajevo on 27 May 2013.  The match was held at the Otoka Stadium in Sarajevo. The Malaysian team won the friendly 5 – 2.

 

The 24-member Malaysian under-11 squad was on a five-day visit to Sarajevo organized by the National Sports Council (NSC) of Malaysia.  They were accompanied by six officials and coaches headed by Mr. Ibrahim Hj. Mohamed, Assistant Director (Technical), NSC.

 

H.E. Anuar, who was invited to give a short address prior to the match, said the visit by the Malaysian team was a commendable initiative and would help spur bilateral cooperation in the field of sports.  Also present were Mr. Semir Efendic, Mayor of Novi Grad Municipality, Malaysian Embassy officials and parents of the local team.

 

The Malaysian squad left for Zagreb, Croatia on 28 May 2013 to participate at an international tournament.
