NEW BOSNIAN AMBASSADOR ? NO STRANGER TO MALAYSIA

The Ambassador-designate of Bosnia Herzegovina to Malaysia, His Excellency Ensar Eminovic departed Sarajevo for Kuala Lumpur on 15 September 2008 to begin his new post. A dinner in his honour was hosted by the Malaysian Ambassador H.E. Zulkifli Adnan, at the latter?s official residence in Sarajevo on 26 August 2008.
The formal dinner was attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, diplomats, private businessmen and their spouses.
During the welcoming speech, H.E. Zulkifli Adnan congratulated the new Ambassador on being nominated to the post and hoped that he would continue the good work of the previous Ambassador towards the further enhancement of bilateral relations between the two countries. H.E. Zulkifli Adnan also stated that it was certainly an honour for Malaysia that the new Ambassador had graduated from a Malaysian university. After the dinner, H.E. Zulkifli Adnan presented a book entitled ?Malaysia-Fifty Years of Diplomacy 1957-2007 to the new Bosnian Ambassador, while Mrs. Siti Hawa Othman presented a book ?the Kebaya Nyonya? to Mrs. Emina Eminovic.
H.E. Ensar Eminovic, 34, studied at the Universiti Islam Antarabangsa in Kuala Lumpur from 1995 ? 1999 and graduated with a Bachelor of Political Science (Hons.) specializing in international relations. He also holds a Masters Degree in European Studies from the University of Sarajevo (Bologna programme).
Upon graduation from the International Islamic University, he worked in various international organizations in BH. He last held the post of Managing Director of GHB Invest Ltd. Company in Sarajevo, a company which he helped establish, dealing with consulting, trade and tourism and agency services. He was also the Chairman of the Assembly of Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia Alumni.
The new Ambassador will also be concurrently accredited to Thailand and Brunei Darussalam. He is married to Ms Emina Jahic. She had recently graduated with a Masters Degree in Pharmacy.
The previous Bosnian Ambassador, H.E. Mustafa Mujezinovic, had completed his tour of duty in Malaysia on 30 August 2008, after having served for more than 3 years.
