Ambassador Zakri Jaafar attended Sarajevo Islamic Finance and Economics Conference (SIFEC), 2018 that was held on 22 June in Sarajevo. At the Conference, Ambassador was invited to deliver a welcome remarks on Malaysia Islamic Finance Industry. The conference is a traditional event organized by the School of Economic and Business, University of Sarajevo with participation of domestic and international academicians, bankers and experts from the U.K, Turkey, Pakistan and Malaysia.
Malaysia was represented by a delegation from University Utara Malaysia (UUM) that chaired a Panel Session and presented papers on Malaysian Experience in the Development and Grwoth of Islamic Financial System, and Roles and Application of Shariah Governance.
