On 17 March 2014, eight officers from the Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) and Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (JAKIM) called on Ambassador Sudha Devi. Federation of Muslim Assocations of Brazil (FAMBRAS) visited the Embassy and Mr. Mohammed Zoghbi, President of FAMBRAS was also present. The team was in Brazil to inspect Brazilian poultry abattoirs as part of the Halal Certification process.
