On 30 September 2023, the Honourable Dato Seri Paduka Mohd Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yunos, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and H.E. Raja Dato’ Reza Raja Zaib Shah, the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam officiated the Tourism Malaysia’s pavilion at the 18th Sabre Brunei travel fair at One City Shopping Centre in Bandar Seri Begawan.
The Sabre Brunei travel fair touted as the largest travel fair in the country was held from 30 September until 1 October 2023. The said Deputy Minister had earlier officially opened the travel fair.
The two-day travel fair showcased a wide range of travel products and services offerings. Tourism Malaysia led Malaysia’s participation at the travel fair alongside with state tourism offices of Sabah, Sarawak and Melaka, as well as several hotels and private medical centres from Malaysia.
From January to June this year, Malaysia had recorded a total of 407,566 tourist arrivals from Brunei. The High Commission of Malaysia remains supportive of tourism campaigns organised by various agencies as well as private sectors, aimed to entice more Bruneians to visit Malaysia.
