26 Leadership Development Programme INTAN-IPA participants receive certificates
Bandar Seri Begawan, 28 Nov 2008 - Twenty-six participants of Leadership Development Programme received their certificates yesterday at the Dewan Penglibatan, Brunei's Civil Service Institute in Kg Rimba.On hand to present the certificates was the Director General of Civil Service of Brunei, Awang Sa Bali bin Abas. The programme which was jointly organised by Civil Service Institute and Institute Tadbiran Awam Negara (INTAN) of Malaysia was attended by representatives from the Malaysian High Commission and Deputy Director of INTAN, Dr Alauddin bin Sidai.
Eleven participants from Malaysia and 15 from Brunei Darussalam and one coordinator from each country took part in the programme, which was held in Malaysia from November 17-21 and continued in Brunei on November 24 until the closing ceremony yesterday.
Among the objectives of the programme were to develop new skills and capabilities dealing with current changes effectively, to ensure the skills and capabilities acquired remain relevant to the stakeholders and the people, to help participants understand the changing nature of the public service environment, to enhance the knowledge and skills in leading organisational excellence and to provide a platform for better networking among public sector officers from both countries.
