On 29 April 2025, HE Datuk Mohd Aini Atan, High Commissioner of Malaysia received a courtesy call from delegation of National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) led by its Senior Deputy Director Mr Rusli Harun.
During the call, HE Datuk Mohd Aini and Mr Rusli discussed pertinent matters related to public administration as well as potential synergistic collaboration in training and development of government officials in both countries, particularly involving INTAN and Civil Service Institute (IPA) of Brunei Darussalam.
Noting that the Razak School of Government (RSOG) is now being placed under INTAN, HE Datuk Mohd Aini urged INTAN to leverage RSOG’s distinctive qualities to attract senior officials from Brunei and those from ASEAN member states, with pragmatic and advanced executive courses, as well as cutting-edge leadership and public policy discourse.
HE Datuk Mohd Aini also highlighted that a paradigm shift is needed in meeting the expectations of a more complex, demanding and nuanced society of today, hence, the focus to transform public sector leadership in striving for excellence should be the primary agenda in the years to come.
