The High Commissioner of Malaysia to Negara Brunei Darussalam, H.E. Dato’ Raja Reza Raja Zaib Shah on 6 December 2021 called on The Honourable Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr.) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs, Brunei Darussalam at the latter’s office. Present also during the courtesy call were the Permanent Secretaries and Deputy Permanent Secretaries of the Ministry.
During the call, various issues of mutual interest were discussed including disaster management, local government administration and potential cooperation between the two countries' immigration, prisons and rescue and fire departments. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen Malaysia-Brunei bilateral relations.
The Honourable Minister was appointed as the Minister of Home Affairs of Brunei Darussalam in 2015.
