On 8 May 2024, His Excellency Raja Dato’ Reza Raja Zaib Shah the High Commissioner of Malaysia paid a farewell call on the State Mufti of Brunei Darussalam, Honourable Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Dr Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned at the Mufti’s office.
As two countries that share similar deep-rooted Islamic values, Malay culture and monarchy system, both sides concurred the need for these enshrined principles continue to be uphold in underpinning the special ties between Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam.
The State Mufti conveyed his appreciation to the Malaysian High Commissioner for the latter’s strong interest in intensifying relations in the area of religious affairs between both countries during his tenure in Brunei.
