Foreign Minister Working Visit to Brunei Darussalam

Minister of Foreign Affairs Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan undertook a working visit to Brunei Darussalam from 11 to 12 August 2024 in conjunction with the 25th Meeting of the Implementation of the Exchange of Letters between Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam which was co-chaired by the Foreign Minister and Brunei’s Second Foreign Minister Dato Seri Setia Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof.
 
While in Brunei, the Foreign Minister also had an audience with the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Muizzaddin Waddaulah Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, and attended a Dinner to Commemorate the 40th Anniversary of Malaysia - Brunei Darussalam Diplomatic Relations hosted by the Malaysian High Commission.
 
The second visit to Brunei by the Foreign Minister in less than sixth month added significance to the four decades long special relationship that has been supported by the shared commonalities of the Malay monarchy system, heritage, culture, and familial ties between the two countries.
