On 27 May 2025, the High Commission of Malaysia in collaboration with CyberSecurity Malaysia (CSM) organised a talk on cyber security titled ‘Strengthen Your Cyber Resilience’ at the Malaysian High Commission chancery building. The talk, delivered by the CEO of CSM Dato’ Ts. Dr. Haji Amirudin Abdul Wahab was well attended by over 60 individuals from government agencies, higher education institutions and private sectors in Brunei Darussalam.
The talk delves into the latest cyber threats and trends affecting the region, while promoting the wide-ranging cyber security services CSM has to offer. It also explores opportunities for technical collaboration and knowledge sharing in cyber security between relevant agencies in Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam.
Prior to the talk, High Commissioner of Malaysia HE Datuk Mohd Aini Atan received Dato’ Ts. Dr. Haji Amirudin for a courtesy call at the former’s office. Both sides exchanged views on how best to promote cooperation in cyber security between both countries, with particular emphasis on formalising a bilateral instrument at the government-to-government level.
HE Datuk Mohd Aini stressed the growing importance of cybersecurity in an increasingly connected digital world, highlighting that it is now imperative for CSM to further strengthen its role as a leading cybersecurity authority in the region.
