His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hjh Zariah yesterday hosted a farewell luncheon for two outgoing envoys, the High Commissioner for Malaysia and the ambassador of Thailand at Balai Penghadapan, Bukit Kayangan at Jalan Tutong.
Upon arrival, Dato' Ku Jaafar Ku Shaari, the Malaysian High Commissioner, and Prapassorn Phrombubpha, the Thai ambassador, were greeted by His Royal Highness and Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Lim Jock Seng, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade II.
Dato' Ku Jaafar has been High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam since August 2007 while Prapassorn has served as ambassador of Thailand to the Sultanate since January 2008.
Also present at the luncheon was HRH Princess Hjh Masna, Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and her husband, Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Hj Abdul Aziz . Several members of the diplomatic corps and their spouses also attended the farewell event.
