On 27 February 2026, the High Commissioner of Malaysia HE Datuk Mohd Aini Atan and spouse, YBhg. Datin Zaeidah Mohamed Esa hosted an Iftar Reception at Rumah Malaysia.
The Iftar was attended by members of Malaysian diaspora in the Sultanate, including leaders of prominent Malaysian-owned businesses; representatives of Malaysian associations; as well as Malaysian students residing in Brunei Darussalam.
The event, which has been an annual fixture hosted by the High Commissioner, not only serves as a platform for the High Commission to share the blessings of the holy month of Ramadan, but also to gather first-hand information regarding common concerns among the Malaysian diaspora, while disseminating the latest policy initiatives from the Malaysian Government.
In the spirit of Ramadan, HE Datuk Mohd Aini took the opportunity to encourage the representatives of Malaysian diaspora to renew their ukhwah and further strengthen the unity among Malaysians, with a view to foster harmonious and prosperous living with all the communities in Brunei Darussalam.
