On 20 January 2024, H.E. Raja Dato’ Reza bin Raja Zaib Shah, Malaysian High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam attended the inauguration ceremony of the Fuzhou Shiyyi Association’s new President and Executive Committee held at the association’s multipurpose hall in Bandar Seri Begawan. Present as Guest of Honour was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Maj Gen (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Hj Awang Halbi bin Hj Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence ll.
The association established 11 years ago is a platform for members to promote friendship including enhancing business, cultural and social ties. The inauguration ceremony was followed by a dinner which was attended by approximately 400 guests.
