On 5 March 2026, the High Commission of Malaysia, together with PERWAKILAN Bandar Seri Begawan, organised a social kitchen initiative at Rumah Malaysia, called Juadah Kasih Ramadan.
The project was aimed at preparing and providing home-cooked iftar meals for members of the local community. Through this initiative, the High Commission successfully prepared and distributed 200 meal packs to members of the community across Bandar Seri Begawan, in the spirit of compassion during the holy month of Ramadan.
The High Commissioner of Malaysia, HE Datuk Mohd Aini Atan, underscored that the project was not merely about providing meals to the communities, but also served as a meaningful platform to strengthen social interaction, promote community spirit, and celebrate the shared culture of preparing and appreciating Iftar meals together.
HE Datuk Mohd Aini further expressed hope that, in conjunction with the blessed month of Ramadan, the initiative would inspire greater acts of kindness and generosity within the community, while encouraging individuals to extend support and care to those in need.
