On 13 September 2025, the High Commissioner of Malaysia HE Datuk Mohd Aini Atan attended the launching ceremony of Sabre Brunei Travel Fair 2025 at BRIDEX International Conference Centre, Jerudong. The Guest of Honour for the event was the Deputy Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications, YM Awang Haji Mohammad Salihin.
The two-day travel fair, held from 13 and 14 September 2025, is widely regarded as the largest travel fair in the Sultanate, serving as a premier platform for tourism industry players to showcase their travel products and services.
Malaysia’s participation at the fair was spearheaded by Tourism Malaysia. HE Datuk Mohd Aini together with Kedah State Tourism Exco, YB Dato’ Haji Mohd Salleh Saidin and the Guest of Honour officiated the opening of Tourism Malaysia’s pavilion, which highlighted Malaysia’s diverse and vibrant tourism attractions. Malaysian exhibitors also comprised of hotels, medical centres, and state tourism offices from Kedah, Sarawak and Sabah.
HE Datuk Mohd Aini reaffirmed the High Commission of Malaysia’s full support towards strategic joint tourism campaigns designed to encourage more Bruneians to visit Malaysia, particularly in anticipation of the upcoming Visit Malaysia Year 2026.
