On 2 August 2025, High Commissioner of Malaysia HE Datuk Mohd Aini Atan attended the launching of Citarasa & Tautan Budaya Sarawak – Brunei 2025, held at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium.
The two-day event, organised by the Sarawak Trade and Tourism Office Brunei (STATOB), aims to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Malaysia, particularly Sarawak and Brunei Darussalam, while fostering greater understanding and appreciation between the people of both countries.
The event featured a variety of cultural performances, traditional cuisine, and artisanal showcases from Sarawak and Brunei Darussalam, serving as a vibrant platform to further strengthen cultural diplomacy.
HE Datuk Mohd Aini extended the High Commission of Malaysia’s full support for the convening of the initiative, before and throughout the event, acknowledging that it not only reaffirms the deep-rooted historical and cultural linkages between Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam, but also contribute meaningfully towards consolidating bilateral relations in the spirit of mutual friendship and cooperation.
