H.E. Dato’ Raja Reza on 24 January 2022 had a meeting with Puan Liza Suriani Binti Haji Ibrahim, Acting Director of the Immigration and National Registration Department, Brunei Darussalam. Also present during the meeting were Pengiran Mohammadin bin Pengiran Haji Aliakbar, Acting Deputy Director and Tuan Raheme bin Ramle, Assistant Director of the Immigration Department.
Other than deliberating immigration-related matters, including the latest regulations imposed by the two countries, H.E. Dato’ Raja Reza and Puan Liza Suriani Binti Haji Ibrahim also touched on the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) proposal between Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam.
H.E. Dato’ Raja Reza expressed appreciation to the Department for facilitating Malaysians in Brunei Darussalam, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Acting Director reaffirmed the Department’s commitment to continue working closely with the High Commission of Malaysia and looks forward to have regular engagements with the Department of Immigration, Malaysia.
