His Excellency Dato' Raja Reza Raja Zaib Shah on 16 December 2021 paid a visit to Datin Dr Anita B Z Abdul Aziz, Vice Chancellor of Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), at the latter's office.
Both parties discussed at great length on the existing excellent cooperation between the higher education institutions in Malaysia and UBD apart from potential areas for future collaboration. Given cultural similarities between Malaysia and Brunei, the Vice Chancellor welcomed the proposal raised by His Excellency Dato' Raja Reza Raja Zaib Shah for the university and the High Commission of Malaysia to jointly organize cultural activities in promoting the Malay language and cultures, including the possibility of organizing inter-varsity ‘Pesta Pantun’ and oratory competition.
