On 23 October 2023, H.E. Raja Dato’ Reza Raja Zaib Shah, the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Brunei Darussalam (NCCIBD) and the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI) Sabah held at NCCIBD’s office in Bandar Seri Begawan.
The President of NCCIBD, Mr Hj Abdul Saman Hj Ahmad and Vice Chairperson of MICCI Sabah, Datuk Susan Chang Huan Soon signed the MoU on behalf of both Chambers of Commerce and Industry. The MoU is envisaged to foster the development and diversification of economic cooperation between Brunei and Sabah.
H.E. Raja Dato’ Reza commended the progress made to pursue closer economic cooperation between Brunei and Sabah which in turn will contribute to the acceleration of Malaysia - Brunei bilateral trade and investment activities. The High Commission of Malaysia remains supportive of various efforts and initiatives in spurring the economies of both countries, including within the context of BIMP-EAGA framework.
