PWM presents awards to 299 outstanding students

The High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam Datuk Haji Awang Sahak Haji Awang Salleh, who is the Patron of the Persatuan Warganegara Malaysia (PWM), emphasised that Malaysia remains committed to establishing even closer relations with Brunei Darussalam through various aspects, including bilateral trade and tourism.
He made the comment during the PWM Lunar New Year Dinner 2014 last night at the Hua Ho Manggis Mall where 299 students received their academic excellence awards.
Datuk Haji Awang Sahak commended the PWM for taking the initiative in holding the Chinese New Year celebration annually for the last 10 years as part of the association’s noble contribution and responsibility in the protection and preservation of their cultural heritage.
He added that, in tourism, many of the Brunei visitors had travelled to neighboring countries Sabah and Sarawak as well as Peninsular Malaysia.
He expressed his confidence that Malaysia’s tourism sector will continue working with local stakeholders.
