On 26 January 2022, H.E. Dato’ Raja Reza joined the Queen’s Baton Relay Walk and Breakfast event organised by the British High Commission in Bandar Seri Begawan to welcome the Queen’s Baton to Brunei Darussalam. During the event, H.E. Dato’ Raja Reza was given the honour to hand over symbolically the Baton to Yang Mulia Pengiran Mohammad Amirrizal, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports of Brunei to signify the arrival of the Baton from Malaysia.
The Queen’s Baton Relay is a Commonwealth Games tradition that celebrates, connects and excites communities from across 72 Commonwealth countries during the build-up to the Commonwealth Games. Brunei is the 30th destination for the Baton Relay before continuing its journey to Papua New Guinea.
