On 15 January 2026, the High Commissioner of Malaysia HE Datuk Mohd Aini Atan, attended the Sovereign’s Parade Ceremony at the Defence Academy of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
The ceremony was graced by His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, accompanied by His Royal Highness 920 Lieutenant Colonel (Udara) Prince ‘Abdul Mateen.
The parade marked the completion of 48 weeks of intensive military training at the Defence Academy of RBAF. A total of 50 officer cadets were commissioned, including three international cadets from Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.
Officer Cadet Ahmad Rizq Dzakwan bin Sharifuddin from Malaysia received the Outstanding International Officer Cadet Award in recognition of his exemplary performance. He was also ranked second best overall, among the 50 officer cadets commissioned.
HE Datuk Mohd Aini reaffirmed Malaysia’s strong commitment to strengthening defence cooperation through continued military training engagement with neighbouring countries including Brunei, with a view to safeguard and promote regional peace, prosperity, and stability.
