On 11 April 2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brunei Darussalam hosted a Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration at the International Convention Centre in Bandar Seri Begawan. The event was graced by the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Second Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brunei Darussalam, the Honourable Dato Seri Setia Haji Erywan Pehin Yusof, was also in attendance.
At the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the High Commission of Malaysia joined fellow diplomatic missions in Bandar Seri Begawan in co-hosting the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration by setting up booths representing their respective countries. On this occassion, the Malaysian High Commission proudly showcased a selection of traditional Malaysian delicacies, including lontong, nona manis, and cara berlauk.
The High Commission of Malaysia remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting cultural festivities, recognising them as a powerful vehicle for cultural diplomacy. The High Commissioner of Malaysia, HE Datuk Mohd Aini Atan further emphasised that such events serve not only to promote national culture, but also in fostering mutual understanding and deeper appreciation of the world’s rich cultural diversity.
